Lucerne choirs

For this demanding project, which requires a large choir, three choirs (with guest singers) are uniting to form a project choir of about 100 singing voices. For the concert in Lucerne these are:

– The “ChoRplus” from Werthenstein with extension (Helena Röösli)

– startupchor (Helena Röösli)

– The “Cäcilienverein Triengen” with extension (Guido Bissig)
– The school choir of the “Institut Montana Zugerberg” (Guido Bissig)

ChoRplus to Timedate, Peacemaker

Once again we are allowed to be part of an extraordinary choir project. We are very happy, because special projects are part of the DNA of ChoRplus.
Timedate with The Peacemaker embarks on a journey around the globe. The content of the peace message could not be more fitting at this time. “Peace begins with a smile” (Mother Teresa). If only it were that simple! We are making a contribution by singing together in the flow of a complete musical work. This makes our whole choir community happy and gives rise to unifying vibrations. We approach the harmonies and timbres of Karl Jenkins with joy through our joint rehearsal work. At the same time, we are inspired by the many exciting words of people who have achieved great things for the worldwide community and who serve as role models for us.
A heartfelt thank you to our choir director Helena for her extraordinary idea to carry the message of peaceful coexistence around the world in song on World Peace Day. Thanks also go to the entire Timedate crew, who work with verve, enthusiasm and perseverance. We singers are motivated to join in – it’s worth it!
We hope that on the World Day of Peace on 21 September 2023, our Peace Relay will have a great impact and resonance around the globe.

“Peace begins with a smile!”

ChoRplus

startupchor

The choir is composed of about 20 young adults who meet in rural Lucerne to sing together. Helena Röösli is, together with the Mauritius Chor Ruswil, co-founder and musical director of this open choir formation. The startupchor, which exists for 4 years, has already performed works from Adiemus by Jenkins. For June 2023, a program on the topic “Save the planet” is in preparation.
